About us:

About you:
The candidate that Sheridan & Co is in search of is a mid-level Design Engineer with experience in the Point of Purchase and Retail industry. The candidate must be fluent in SolidWorks 2009/2010. The candidate must be able to design using various manufacturing techniques in plastics (thermoforming, cnc, injection molding, etc), metals, wood, and finishes. The candidate must be able to develop production/shop drawings from a concept in a cost effective and timely manner. The candidate must be able to assess prototypes for quality control. The candidate must have a minimum of two years of experience and have been given exposure to, and feel comfortable with, project management.
The ideal candidate will also have a working knowledge of the Adobe Creative Suite of products as well as AutoCAD and/or Vectorworks. As we are an international company, the ideal candidate would also be able to work in customary measurements of the United States as well as the metric system.
The candidate should be organized and methodical; and should be able to work both individually and as part of a team across our office locations.
